The Thing seems to have organic origins, but it’s hard to say for sure. It appears charred, and it’s unclear whether the more substantive part of it is independent of the lurid blue stain to the left. If I were to take a guess, I would say that someone disemboweled a chicken, blasted the offal with a butane torch for a minute, then spilled most of his beverage next to the deed.
